HeartMath’s Neuroscientist, Dr. Rollin McCraty points us to a different way to look at consciousness, by breaking it down into levels of consciousness. There’s consciousness with a little C and a big C.

The more we become conscious of what energies we are emoting, and when we need to course correct, we can then apply the self-mastery tools of heart coherence, of attitude breathing, of consciously tuning into to our inner Kingdom’s domain. It is within this conscious choice to be consciously aware of what emotions are we choosing, it is in these choicepoints that we then have the capacity to remove any viruses of life-alienating beliefs, which then directly impacts our conscious awareness and how we see and interact in our world that is made up of reflective relationships.

Fear-Busting Antidote: Find times for “the gap” of self-inquiry to ask, how can I become more aware of what’s alive within me to self-regulate and generate emotions that regenerate me, rather than deplete me? If I go within to cultivate deeper feelings of self-love and self-appreciation, I naturally show up more present to those in my life, and my reflective world.

Today, in every decision, stop to create “the gap” to ask yourself, if I love myself, what would love do and be now? Then be it…. let every cell become a living expression and testimony of love in action.
